Doesn't have the washers, suggests not.

Is it a UK car? In Ireland on a mk7 they didn't have xenon. Some Irish cars have been brought into Britain for resale.
Not entirely true. They weren’t standard spec in Ireland but were an option, most owners here specced  them as I did.

Thank's everyone - very helpful. Better photo here which shows the rectangles below the headlights. It doesn't state bi xenons on the VW advert so I'm think they may have missed it based on what you guys are saying.

Yes, sorry I meant as standard.

Motorpoint imported a shed load of the Irish base spec ones into England though and flogged them off cheap.

The headlights in that photo are 100% Halogen, not Bi-Xenon. Heres some images from the VW self training manual on the MK7.

Easy way to tell is that Bi-Xenons are not legally allowed to be installed into an open reflector, they must always be contained inside a lens that can accurately focus the beam to avoid blinding. I also believe, that if the car was ordered with winter pack, then even Halogen lights had headlight washers (mandatory on Bi-Xenon). I also understand the UK was one of the very few countries where the importer (VW UK in this case), never offered the option of lesser lights on the performance models, and all UK sourced cars were always Bi-Xenon, but other countries (Ireland, Cyprus etc. that also used RHD), were always a pricey option.

Ah not so fast... having re-read the thread, the car I was talking about was the white one on Page 1 - the only image that' showing. I never saw your original image, so if it's like the one at the bottom of page 1 posted by SRGTD, then yes, those are Bi-Xenon as you can see from the above graphics.

As per the title. Car has winter pack. Thanks

Standard spec GTI UK xenon headlights with single LED "U" DRLs, with the washer covers visible on the bumper.....halogens NEVER get the LED "U" DRLs....thats the giveaway.

Cheers. Not sure why the images I've posted are playing up. They are hosted on my Google photos.
