I'm fitting one to my un mapped 210 LCR. I have been reasured they will make a difference and be worth while. Also the cost bugger all comparatively and it's future proofing.
This is a must read build thread

Lots of mods on a A3 1.8t K03. From track prepping, Wellycooler fitting, K04 Hybride install, WMI install, R-Tech mapped and some great in car footage around the ring. Well worth a look and you guys will have a lot in common with it being a AGU code engine.
The Wellycooler is the way forward
03 210 Seat LCR. Badger5 V2.2TIP, Fordge 007p, Wellycooler, Quaife ATB LSD, Nuespeed ARB's, KW Clubsports, 330mm discs, 3" turbo back de cat and still on the standard map!

I wish I had a DBW car. Would be so simpler to fit a home brew cooler with BAM charge pipe and right handed inlet.

I want the pipework to be hidden. But I can't afford a ths.  Has anyone done a 'wellycooler' type install in a fwd golf chassis?

I don't mind the 'toyosoorts' type routing over the gearbox. Does anyone have a shopping list? Ie x4 45' silicone bends. X4 90' metal bends...........

The only thing I have forgot to mention is you'll need to get the inlet and outlet's of the toyo sports cooler beaded to stop the hoses piping off.

So for this kit you are looking around £210 for all the parts needed
all will be with me Monday but going to have to fit/ try and fit through the week / weekend.
I will do some pics of mine when all done
ARZ K03s, Oettinger Side Skirts, R32 front, Carbon stage 2, Forge 007p (yellow spring), Forge Actuator (yellow spring), Pipercross panel filter with DSG parts, N249 and N112 deleted, SAI deleted, Carbon canister deleted, Rear wiper deleted, Long Life turbo back custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, VR6/G60 clutch kit, Creation Motorsport TIP, Catch can, 'Wellycooler', K04 charge pipe, S3 ported inlet manifold - looks pretty standard on the outside though :)
