I have a CW Gti and I must say I am not impressed at all with how easy the paint chips. Have several on the front bumper where the black primer/plastic shines through. Have a few on the bonnet as well and the gray undercoat is fully visible. Car is at 53000 miles (8500 km).I had a black golf prior to this one and I had chips but nowhere near this amount. Prior to that a blue metallic Saab 9-3...almost no chips at all. The CW is way too soft and they should have given it a few more layers of paint.
Sad bunch of women spending all that time cleaning ..,cars are for driving man!

What have people got and what would people recommend for paint protection. Superguard, toughseal, Others ?and does anyone know where i can get it done? I live in Hull my car is arriving within the next couple of weeks (maybe Pickup on Sunday) and it's white so i might protect the paintwork.

And you am1w (Am 1 W@nker)?
2x things I think VW are very bad at,1. Painting cars, they chip and scratch much easier than other manufacturers.2. Wheel quality, but I guess thats BBS's problem. Never seen wheels corode so quickly.Dave
