Then an investement in the most solid OEM mounting possible appeared.

G60 rear engine.
1.3 gearbox.
1.3 front engine.
These have been fitted to Danny P's motor and now the ABF in there is standing very very firm

with these mounts ill be building up a fresh subframe. powdercoated with poly wishbone and ARB bushes. fully rebuilt 256 or even 280 braking assemblys to the sides and a PAS setup between

rear axle will also be compelted and then all the solid lines throughout the car from MC which will be 9" servo 22mm mc combination swapped whislt everything is out and open, before the 2.0 is dropped in with the clutch kit ive picked up cheap, and the 2Y box i will be fitting to it. This will be compelte with a 0.80 instead of 0.91 ratio 5th gear from a CHE mk3 8v gti box for 3k at 70 in 50th rather than 3.5k RPM

Head will be fitted with a kent GS1H cam. sump has a 1.9diesel windage tray fitted, throttle body has been shoved through ultrasonic cleaning along with the head, ECU has a Digifast chip from the states fitted and ready to roll.. gearbox has all new seals on the outboard of it.. cant think of much more off the top of my head currently!

I'm hoping by fiddlign with everything in such a way ill know roughly enough to be able to look after the car in any situation, and also know enoguh to fiddle with any others that come my way to a degre.. and finalyl be able to enjoy the car without fear of reliability issues.. though theory doesnt always become practice!

Other than all of this various little jobs ahve been fixed.. boot popper fixed. new radio fitted as old one ddecided to give up. 2 yeas for £15 of scrapyard cd palyer wasnt bad though! all the door cards and seats are now fitted along with the electric window gubbins. all itnerior screws fixings and parts are back in..
Im at a point now where i guess I could say im roughly happy with where im at, but theres still a lot of plans running through my head as ever
