I assume the late one is expensive becasue it comes with the toothed wheel thingy?

I think I know what you mean, number 16? Heres a part # breakdown:

Or if you actually want to take the cup off and replace the seal behind it, you need the 'repair kit' #27 which is £8.70+VAT.

I've never seen a driveshaft seal actually fitted to a car I've worked on, but they do exist in ETKA
