That’s quite a jump!
If one wanted to avoid the £40k tax then being an early adopter was the only sure fire way.
If you wanted a bit of spec and weren’t fussed about the tax then not so much, just increasing wait times and even higher new registration tax likelihood to rub salt in financial wounds.
Going back to Colh’s dilemma - what electric car to get? If wishing to avoid the £40k tax you’d need to guarantee delivery before the end of March next year otherwise it’d be something like an Alpine A290 maybe? (Assuming a hot hatch type EV was criteria)
