I didn't spec DCC because I intend to fit Bilstein B16's later down the road so It would be a wasted option.

If you're keeping the car standard then DCC is a cool option. For me it wouldn't be a game changer to not take the car.

If really matters to you though reject it, it is your car after all. Built for you!

Something similar happened to me a few years back when I ordered a Polo Blue GT. I had specified xenon lights and the dealer forgot to add it to the factory order.

I didn't notice when I picked the car up and it was only when I was driving home that I realised.
The dealer admitted it was their mistake. As there was little in the way of compensation offered I decided to re-order the car and they let me use the existing one until the new one arrived (5 months later).

In the end it worked out quite well, as I got a new car after 5 months and I was able to take advantage of a further years free car insurance (part of a PCP deal running at the time).
Also, I sold the car near the end of its three year PCP and because it was only 2½ years old and still had 6 months warranty with it, I got a better price and sold it within a couple of weeks of the ad going live.
SOLD - 67 Golf GTi PP, 5dr, DSG in Issac Blue with rear camera, keyless entry, Dynaudio, Brescia alloys & DCC.

The only solution I would accept in that situation is to keep the car thats arrived and they order the correct car for you, then swapping to that once its arrived next year. At a push I would accept something similar, GTD or Scirroco provided it was nearly new.

If you keep this car you will certainly regret it, shopping vouchers or not.

Oh and you really need annual servicing with a GTI - non of this 'Longlife' nonsense....

So here we are - took the delivered car on 1 December. I don't miss what I've never had and the non-DCC car is just fine.
5 weeks in and I've done 3200 miles with an average MPG of 36.6. Can't complain.

Loving the colour and the wheels and the red accents. Also love the new LED lighting and the dynamic rear indicators. Very cool.

Here's a couple of pics (yes, I know, the exhausts need some chrome polish on them)

The car looks fantastic, and it's good to hear that you're pleased with it. Hopefully your dealer did right by you in the end.

3,200 miles in 5 weeks though, no wonder the oil price has picked up a bit recently

That blue looks fantastic in the sun!

I've never seen it look so good actually.

Glad you got it sorted and pleased to see someone who actually drives their car and not just polishes it and writes about it on a forum ;-)

Cheers Fred - yes, I love driving the car (which is why I bought it) - it's my 5th GTI and the best yet. The 7 speed DSG equals 2,100 RPM at 80MPH so economy is great. I'm glad I went for the checked cloth rather than the leather (all my previous 4 GTI's have been leather) which I thought was a needlessly expensive option. I also think the heated seats heat up quicker with cloth than leather. My favourite feature is the satnav maps in the dashboard LCD display. Great for keeping your eyes on the road.
I've not seen another Atlantic Blue yet - in fact, my dealer said it's the only one they've sold so far.

Looks great Toon, glad the situation was resolved and you're happy. Mine is on 19s too without DCC and I find it very good. Changing from Pirellis to Michelins made it even better

Damn!! That makes me wish I'd ordered Atlantic instead of Issac Blue now.
