Something similar happened to me a few years back when I ordered a Polo Blue GT. I had specified xenon lights and the dealer forgot to add it to the factory order.
I didn't notice when I picked the car up and it was only when I was driving home that I realised.
The dealer admitted it was their mistake. As there was little in the way of compensation offered I decided to re-order the car and they let me use the existing one until the new one arrived (5 months later).
In the end it worked out quite well, as I got a new car after 5 months and I was able to take advantage of a further years free car insurance (part of a PCP deal running at the time).
Also, I sold the car near the end of its three year PCP and because it was only 2½ years old and still had 6 months warranty with it, I got a better price and sold it within a couple of weeks of the ad going live.
