Drove past my local VW dealer this evening and noticed they had a White Silver Golf and a Turmeric Yellow Golf. It was a bright evening, and the dealership was closed (so no annoying sales people around) so I stopped to have a closer look. It's the first Turmeric Yellow Golf I've seen in the metal.
I know that paint colour is a very personal thing and it's good that not everyone likes the same colours;
- but I found the White Silver looked more dull grey than anything else, even in decent light, and IMO it did look like a car in it's primer coat and VW had forgotten to apply the colour coat (sorry White Silver owners!). It wasn't a performance Golf, and maybe with a different set of wheels and (if a GTI) coloured accents it would look better. Unfortunately, not for me though.
- I loved the Turmeric Yellow!
. It was also a non performance Golf (of the performance Golfs, only the R is available in Turmeric Yellow) ; I think it was the same model as the White Silver Golf, but IMO it looked stunning.
If I had to choose one of those two Golfs, I'd have gone for the Turmeric Yellow one. As it's probably a bit of a Marmite colour, it might not be as easy to sell in a few years' time as a White Silver Golf, but I thought it looked great.
