Its showing as 'Composition Media System (CMS) as I look at it. And 'key features' is a table entry - not something you click on, on the page I am looking at anyway. Can you provide a link please?

Go here http://www.volkswagen.co.uk/new/golf-gti-vii/configure

And then where it says "start building 3/5 door" underneath there is a drop down for "Whats included" read that!

That brilliant - thank you - I have just sent that to my dealer who has been querying the revised specs with VWUK (who told him that it was all just an 'error' apprantly!).

There's nothing like a bit of rumour and speculation to get everyone in a lather.
After my initial searching around lease lists and brokers who seem to generally be more up to speed than VW's own configurator I asked our resident forum dealer insider and he confirmed a few things for me.
As per the brokers sites, the £135 "inflationary increase" for all Golfs came into effect on 27th April.
This is for 2015 models 'in stock' really before the big increase hits for 2016 'sporty' models.
The GTI/D goes up £920 and the R £670 for 2016 model year cars.
The Gen ii stuff is confirmed for 2016 MY but the drop down on the configurator that still lists Nav, KESSY and Winter Pack are not on the list of what the dealers have in their possession as standard kit yet; it's still optional at time of writing.

There seems to be other interesting stuff going on with other models too but I'll not drag this off topic.

If you're about to sign on the dotted line I'd ensure you do it under the proviso of expected spec until VW confirm what model year and final spec you're getting.

Thats what they told my dealer today - but the 920 quid price hike is not an error. I am a big VW fan and am getting seriously peed off and disillusioned with the way they are acting. If I feel that way what do people who are 'on the fence' re their car brand think - potential customers who would buy VW, Mercedes or BMW simply depending on how they perceived the package?

The only dealer I have spoken to on this also says it is an error based on their conversation with vw uk, and therefore wouldn't accept an order on this basis.  Are we therefore saying that 135 increase is the inflationary amount and the remainder (on non-stcock cars only) will effectively come with a price increase and the addition on DNS Nav, Winter Pack and Keyless on GTI/D.?

VW certainly seem to be chasing premium money for their cars these days. They're so close to Audi prices these days, you'd  buy the Audience if not for lack of equipment and personal taste on looks.
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....
