Greetings cebbes30

This could go either way, either fairly simple to do or quite complex (There are many many light configuration adaptation channels in the central electrics module, which is where it may need to be done). Also something to bear in mind is that the GTI/D has LED fogs, so the values in this part of the adaptation channel may not be suitable unless you're installing genuine GTI/D white LED fogs. Is this what you're doing? We need some more information about your vehicle in order to try and help. Could you provide an auto
scan?

Hello Jivemonkey,

I have a golf 7 1.2 TSI trendline, 86 pk, Discover Media NAVI, winter package, parking sensors, seat heating, SRA, rainsensor/lightsensor, dimming mirror, Alarm plus, foldable mirrors with environment lichts with folding thru remote, coming home leaving home. and fog lights normal not a LED version.

Options rainsensor/lightsensor, dimming mirror, alarm plus, foldable mirrors, coming home en leaving home a have install it en recode it by myself!

The only thing i cant find is how a recode the fog lights.

What i have notice is when its day and i pull the lichtswitch to fog lights the dim headlight wil go on.
When its evening and dark and i pull the fog lights nothing happens???

Please i need help because i have install it and cant use it frustrates me!!!!!

This is a scan of my car.

Interesting. These are the light addresses that are used for the fog light on my Golf, the Lasttyp (type of light) is set as '6 - LED Lichtmodul' which is for the aforementioned LED fog lamps. You would need to check another car which has the halogen fog lights to see what type is used to make sure you get the right one, or check the available options and see if you find a suitable one. Wouldn't recommend that!

If it helps, here is what's set for fogs:

Left Fog:

(1)-Leuchte12NL LB45-Lasttyp 12                                               6 - LED Lichtmodul
(2)-Leuchte12NL LB45-Lampendefektbitposition 12                           38
(3)-Leuchte12NL LB45-Fehlerort mittleres Byte DTC-DFCC 12      22
(4)-Leuchte12NL LB45-Lichtfunktion A 12                                      Nebellicht links
(5)-Leuchte12NL LB45-Lichtfunktion B 12                                      not active
(6)-Leuchte12NL LB45-Dimmwert AB 12                                      127
(7)-Leuchte12NL LB45-Lichtansteuerung HD AB 12                      Always

Right Fog:

(1)-Leuchte13NL RB5-Lasttyp 13                                              6 - LED Lichtmodul
(2)-Leuchte13NL RB5-Lampendefektbitposition 13                      42
(3)-Leuchte13NL RB5-Fehlerort mittleres Byte DTC-DFCC 13      23
(4)-Leuchte13NL RB5-Lichtfunktion A 13                                      Nebellicht rechts
(5)-Leuchte13NL RB5-Lichtfunktion B 13                                      not active
(6)-Leuchte13NL RB5-Dimmwert AB 13                                      127
(7)-Leuchte13NL RB5-Lichtansteuerung HD AB 13                      Always

You will need to try and compare with someone with halogen fogs to find out correct values for the entries in bold.

Also, double check the 'Lasttyp' is the same (12 for left fog, 13 for right fog) for non-LED fogs.

Let me know how you get on. Good luck!

You're welcome.

I can't guarantee that more coding will not be required, as I've only had a look at what my Golf has and compared it with yours, VCDS coding isn't an exact science unfortunately. I would say that it is definitely a step in the right direction though!
