Where GTI £3500 discount?

Despite over £2.5k of options I got mine less than list with paint protection and three years servicing thrown in...... (Equivalent to approx £3.5k discount I'd say)

 As others have said go to a few websites like carwow and drivethedeal, get some quotes and then pop down your local and ask them to match. They will probably say no but be patient and they'll come back to you with something close!!

go through a broker instead and you'll get the lower price to pay. by that premise with the huge discounts offered on gti's did they think they wouldn't sell? sounds like more VW bs!

Sounds like they are happy to lose a sale if that sale would be at a discount, or maybe they are sizing you up (one of my local dealerships did this to me, so I went elsewhere). Find another dealer that is willing to discount or use a broker - the one you have spoken to has probably used all their allocation for the forseeable, or perhaps if they are a smaller dealership that doesn't get many volume bonuse/discounts to allow then big discounts and still make a worthwhile profit.

You could try one more time with them - give them a price you are willing to accept, give them a phone number and say i'll give you 2 days before looking elsewhere.

Seems like a reasonable discount is normal as we got £3000 on our order:

3 Door pure white - PP - ACC - keyless - dynaudio - 3yr service plan

Drive the deal are your best bet. They will get you a large discount and put you in touch with a UK dealer
