Given that VUUK exec "promised" this would happen can you not contact them to give the dealer a kick up the arse? You could either contact them and just tell them that they had assured you of a priority pick up and its not happening, or you could take the 'innocent' approach and have a 'friendly' contact where you ask them to check with the dealer that exactly when the priority pick up will be happening... such that when they do check and the dealer says they won't do it they will be the ones on the phone to the dealer and left in the situation of either putting pressure on the dealer or calling you to say they are going back on their word. I'd go for this option personally. Its appalling how they can dish out so many promises only for things to not materialise, don't let them get away with this!
Oh yeah, and give them the bottom possible score on the survey anyway. I wish I had got a survey but apparently if you cancel they don't give a damn what you think (presumably because they know you won't be giving out good scores... but if the survey was meaningful then bad scores should be collected as well!).
I was actually called by the dealer head office a couple of days after I cancelled and was asked "Was I happy with the hand over of my car?"
So my answer was "Err... no not really."
"Oh dear, what was the problem."
"Well... I cancelled the order."
"Oh I'm sorry to hear that, goodbye then."
WTF? Seriously you don't give a damn why I cancelled? Don't want to improve your service then? Only interested in answers that make you look good?
Well... just goes to show. Good customer service will only get better, while poor service doesn't even understand why its poor and will only get worse.
But back on topic, don't take no for an answer MH! They promised you so they damn well better do it!
