I think you could be onto something there mate. Bit too much of a coincidence that I've gone from 3 weeks to 10 days on the tracker, just as a ship bound for Sheerness is loading up ('Emden'). If that is correct then its taken roughly 10 days to get from the factory... Probably only two days in reality, but been sat around on the dockside for the other 8 days (just a theory).

Well here's hoping my tracker changes to 'In the UK' by the end of the week.

I'm pretty sure it will do.  Although the status itself doesn't change, the text does, and I'm pretty certain that coincides with various key stages of the journey.  Personally I'd have liked more actual stages, but there ya' go!

Hoping mine changes to '10 days' before the 'EMDEN' vessel leaves port, the next sailing doesn't look like it's until Saturday...

Crikey!!! I was hoping it was gonna leave tomorrow!!!  Oh well in that case if it doesn't leave till Saturday, there isn't much hope for me picking it up the 1st week of September... It's looking more like the 2nd week now

I'm almost certain your car is gonna get on mate if the Emden doesn't set sail till the end of the week.

I agree... There should definitely be an extra few stages or a re-wording of the text as its very confusing at the moment. I mean how can the average transit time go from 4 weeks to 10 days??? It's either 4 weeks or 10 days... No wonder the bods at VWCS are confused!!!

Yeah, extra stages or better wording, but I suppose that in the grand scheme of things, if it's in transit, you know it's only a matter of a few short weeks until all of this anticipation will be but a distant memory!

It's fair to say that most of us hit pretty low points through all of this, and if I'd have known it would have been 5 months at the point of ordering, I don't think I'd have pulled the trigger.  But, I'm so glad I stuck with it, as the excitement levels rise each day now!  It's made worse for the fact that I know it's at the dealers right now, and am just waiting on a phone call tomorrow to arrange collection from 1st September!

I was fine until I knew it had been built. Now the suspense is killing me.

Worse however, the Mrs who says she has no interest in cars and put me through hell when I ordered it seems to be asking me every 90 seconds if there's an update on it. It was her that decided to (apparently coincidentally) drive to a supermarket she never uses that meant driving past the dealership and popped in to ask where the car was.

God she's going to want to drive it... I'd best pre order a replacement now...

Haha, I was kinda like, "whatever" even knowing it had been built, but as it got closer to home I started to get more and more excited!

Ooh...I'd like to keep my new car the same state as my current one - never driven by my wife!  She's not even named on the insurance, because she WILL bump into something!

My wife has a Mercedes 320 E-Class (which she drives like it's a Mini), if you ever fancy a white knuckle ride I'll get her to give you a lift home from the pub. It's twice as terrifying and half the cost of anything Alton Towers have to offer...
