Just back from ordering, had probs with colour choice on order screen.  No pacific blue or metallic red .

As Easter weekend, will be Tuesday before he can check availability.

I know that's what i told them! But they're investigating for me to find out further :P I've yet to see Urano Grey in the flesh but I loved the look of Carbon Steel on the Mk6 - can anyone tell me if theyre similar? Colour is probably one of the most important aspects for me as I like to admire my car!

Carbon Grey on the mk6 is a metallic colour. Urano Grey is a flat, non-metallic colour. I find the metallic flake in Carbon Grey on my mk6 really sparkles in the sunlight; you won't get this same effect with Urano Grey as there are no metallic flakes in the paint.

Colour choice is a really personal thing, but if I was thinking of ordering a mk7, I wouldn't go for Urano Grey. Come resale time, 'popular' colours will be much easier to sell. Look at reply no. 122 in this thread and take the advice of Lee (evo1986) who's a VW sales exec; avoid Urano Grey, especially as you've said colour is probably one of the most important aspects for you.

2020 Polo GTI Plus; Pure White, DSG (because they all are)
Gone but not forgotten;
2016 Polo GTI; Blue Silk
2011 mk6 Golf GTD; Carbon Grey
2007 mk5 Golf GT (2.0 170bhp TDI version); Deep Black Pearl
2002  mk4 Golf GTI (the 150 bhp diesel version); Deep Black Pearl

I've got Carbon Grey at the moment - such a shame its not available on the Mk7.  Wouldn't consider Urano Grey as its a solid colour - Lee is right it will not attract a good resale price, so thinking it will have to be Limestone Grey for me.

You can't beat a shiny red car.  :cool:

Good to see another Salopian here.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Just had a call from the dealer, he says he's put the order for my car in but the only thing he couldn't order was the colour computer screen?? He's querying it but can't speak to VW till tuesday now! I reallly don't understand whats going on atm, did they mess around with the spec much when the mk6 was released?? >:(
