Yea, not quite sure how you quantify what a medium whack is. Then you have to repeat the process, so.... To summarise.....

Bash the sh!t out of it until it fits but only use a medium whack during any one strike.....

The bit that is leaking on mine is right at the top, so i am going to bung it up tomorrow with something to see if that can tell me if it is the tube or the actual dipstick I need to replace

i bought one 3 months back n i have been chasing up awesome every week since

is it a pain in the ass to fit then? is it any good or not?

I agree. I think it is my actual dipstick, not the tube that is not sealing properly, because once blocked up tightly with the thumb, no smoke came out. I think I will just seal it up with something and keep the dipstick in the boot.
