Hey dragongreen did you replace the ecu with identical part number and letter at the end, reason i ask is i believe i need to change my abs/ecu and last time i tryed i swapped mine out for a replacement with same number but different letter and this didnt work ,incorrectly coded or something
Alright mate yeah exactly the same it's taken me ages to track one down as it only seems a select few vr6's or late 16v's have the pump and ecu i have

so after seeing one advertised on the net i had it however the ecu seems to not be the problem so i am now going to try the abs pump which it came with and hopefully sort my problem out

cheers
There is a question in this thread I would also like answered.
When bleeding the brakes do you need Vag Com to bleed the ABS pump? Or will it bleed using the 'normal' procedure of simply bleeding each brake caliper.
The reason I ask is to try to shed some light on Dragongreen's question, plus I know that my old Vx Omega needed Tech2 (the equivalent of Vag Com) to bleed the pump.
Ihope someone can help us on this as i would like to jsut get on and do it myself rather than pay a garage just because they have full vag com

if its a case of bleed as normal i will do it at weekend
