mk4 Gearbox for 1.8t conversion

Right, looking into which box im going to use and decided to stick with the 16v box from an ABF as Brad has suggested.

Will any ABF box do? Or looking for a specific code?

But been reading some posts on using a DPA, but cant seem to see it on there.

Just dont want to go buying a 16v doner and it being useless.. Cheers

CDA and DPA are the same, except one is a Ibiza Cupra Sport 16v 'box, so runs a cable clutch...which may be ideal for you as it would save you changing to a hydraulic clutch.
I think that may be the CDA...I think a Golf 16v is a DPA (might have got them the wrong way round)

I've never heard of a CGN.

dps is 16v golf, cda is the same ratios and i believe is found in both golfs and ibizas i think the ibiza has a different kind of cylinder for the clutch to make it cable but not 100% sure on that

my ABF one is DPA, all late valvers had DPA

mine is for sale, however think funky five on here wants it

mines for sale also pick up only though so bit of a trek for you Had it for sale for months on ebay but no takers will probably end up scrapping it at this rate

I have the MK3 ABF cable shifters and Geearbox all coming off mine

all good parts as you probably know with me i don't do things by halves, my box came from a good source and the car it came from had FSH

i will let u know if Funkyfive still wants mine or not and if u are interested we can talk.

I'll be removing it from my car in around 3 weeks when I get my other box back from rebuild
