you can wire it to a rear light bulb. so when you switch your lights on the amp turns on.

just an option

You will indeed be able to use a standard switch (heated seat will be fine).
If you use an iginition live supply to feed the switch, then amp/s will only work when the key is in the ignition and the switch is depressed.
That way, even if you forget the switch, it will still be turned off when you kill the ignition.

Just about to say, link it to an ignition live with a smallish wire. One found behind stereo amongst other places. Stupid to put it on a switch IMO.

ive tried evry wire behind the radio and no one kills the power the the amp when the radio is off and the key is out so thouight easiest way would be to put a switch on

Oh  well there should be both a remote wire (or two) from the radio and a live feed from the ignition switch. If you haven't got a tester, use a 12v bulb or little motor or something.

Any 12v switch will work if you go down that route and would be the best alternative. Don't wire it up to your lights!!

What about taking the cover off the fuse box and running a feed from the pole that's ignition live, MK4's are handy like that as they have the poles above the fuses so you just have to put a ring terminal on it.
