I did hear they will have cases when they are fully released?

Think i will stick with my ATV's for my media needs.

Yes, this initial batch is primarily for developers and enthusiasts to develop software for it.

When it officially gets released for it's original audience (Education), then it'll come equipped with a case :)

I'm not bothered about a case, can easily knock something up.  Might even try to put it inside my telly

I'm contemplating the parts needed for an in-car entertainment systems :D

Other than that I'll get a few for browsing internet / playing movies on my TV, a little SAN... possibilities are endless.

It would be a brilliant basis for a NAS system as well possibly?

Forgot I had an 'Atari' joystick until I found it at the bottom of the cupboard … when I get a Pi it'll be going in there

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

Seems like a brilliant piece of kit, have the batches with cases been developed yet?

Who ever was talking about the mini PC's that are 3 times in size I know what your on about it, at my old company we designed a stand with a touchscreen monitor and the mini pc for visitors to come in and enroll as visitors followed by the machine printing them a visitor's card.

Anyone got the pi yet?

No, I've had a hundred emails from RS Components saying that "they will be available soon".

I hope a competitor comes in and builds a replica before the Pi actually becomes available, to launch a product without any stock is a bit of a joke!

So we should wait for the chinese copies for a tenth of the price then

I can see that they never expected it to be a this huge of a hit, but the time they have had they could of easily got there act together, usually RS are very good at sourcing parts required from experience.
