Wheel spacers
« on: 09 February 2012, 09:34 »
My mate has a gtd and has been given some wheel spacers (20mm rear, 10mm on fronts) from a mk4 that had rs6 wheels (dont know the wheel name of his but they are 17 standard?) can the wheel spacers fit on his?

No.

Mk4s are 5 x 100mm...GTDs are 5 x 112mm.

..but gaining motorcycles.

A lot of spacers are double drilled and will have 10 holes (plus the centre hole of course).
So they may be 5x100 and 5x112mm.

Don't fit cheap spacers and make sure you have good quality longer wheel bolts.

20mm will probably be too wide for the back of a mk6 and 10mm will probably be too wide for the front, so ebay the 20mm and fit the 10mm on the back (assuming they are top quality double drilled spacers with proper hubcentric fittings).

End of sermon.
