What's the closest looking wheel to v710s? Am on a budget and want either 18 or 19...read 19s cause horrible ride and affect acceleration but look ace and 18s look lost unless lowering etc

My car was specced with 18" monza shadows, the car is not lowered and the wheels do not in any way look lost.  I think you are confusing this with 17" which could look lost.  Hope this helps somewhat.

PS Am1w posted many wheel and tyre threads so may find something there, also there is the "non monza" wheel thread around too.

I'll be honest...for £600 you are going to get cheap-ass, heavy as hell, bendy wheels...and crap tyres.
You'd be £600 alone for a decent set of tyres...and I very much doubt you'd get a set of wheels worth running for less than £1000.

Each to their own though...

The ride is slightly harder than on 18s...fair play.

As for slow acceleration?
How?
The rolling radius is no larger than the standard tyres, as the tyre profile is lower...
And if you duy decent wheels, the weight will be no more than the OEM wheels...so no weight penalty either.
So...no, not slower at all.

Have a search around for Cades Bern alloy wheel on ebay and various online wheel places Mrs Jones, they're a similar style to the VMRs and are of decent quality and fit the GTD in 8x18''
Prices on them start at around £500 a set but you'd get them cheaper with a bit of haggling and searching around. Fit a decent set of 225/40/18s and you're away. As Mr S3 says, DON'T skimp on tyres, but don't be afraid of quality part worns that you can often pick up in the for sale section of forums for sensible money.
