Im not sure if http://www.dinitrol.co.uk/ do anything but ive used a lot of there products in the past on my Riley and i wish i had used them on the mk6 as sadly waxoyl products are not a patch on what they were but its done now :undecided:
I used a rubber underseal on the Riley that sets as solid rubber but it can still flexes its just like a rubber mat!. Its extremely strong but the make and model of it i cannot remember. I will have a look in the lockup at the weekend too see if i still have the tin.

well the front bumper/wing alignment has been annoying me for ages now and the car is booked in for next week to look into it but i don't trust them so decided to sort it myself

this is what i found when i took the bumper off and is the reason the wing and bumper weren't aligned properly.

what a joke

when the car was new i had a new headlight fitted as it was scratched during PDI and i had issues with poor workmanship and lack of care

this is obviously the aftermath of their attempt to fix it

I'm taking it in next week to complain as this is total lack of care

basically the bumper has been forced on and the tabs were forced under the clips and the top one has snapped because of this.

its lucky that the mounting bracket wasn't more damaged as it was so forced in.

i have straightened the lower one and was able to get the clip located but as the top one is broken there is no way i could re use that.

I'm going to take it in next week (also to show them the wheel arch paint flaking) to complain but i don't want them attempting to fix it unless they're replacing the bumper.

does anyone know if there is a glue which could repair the broken tab as i would prefer to sort this myself.

Thats shocking

If you can find a plastic welder in your area it would be much stronger than a glue.

Oh yeah and one of the screws in the wheel arch lining was missing on the same side. Seriously the dealership and mechanic especially who did the job are useless.

Anyone know where I can get a replacement screw? Just using a temporary one for now but would like an original looking one

The way the bumpers mount around the headlamps is a joke IMHO, I've not removed a single one without something pinging or snapping off  :undecided:

well i tried to glue the snapped clip today with some epoxy glue and what a waste of time.

in the end i just took it off completely and had done with it as it was just hanging there.

the clip that i did manage to save (the 2nd one down which was bent) is useless as the hook on the side mount was snapped as it was forced on in the first place.

at least it all slides into the 'track' on the side mount so its fairly secure.

TBH the gap is much better than what it was before as the bumper is no longer being forced away from the wing by the bent clips and hooks.

I'm still going to complain at the garage next week though just out of principle.

I've saved the clips which were damaged so i could plastic weld them eventually maybe.
