Wheel bearings help!!
« on: 18 August 2011, 11:33 »
My other MK3 GTI 8v had an advisory for both rear wheel bearings.

The MOT tester said they needed tightening up as there is to much play in them.  Soooo!  How do I tighten the rear wheel bearings?  She is a 1997 2.0 8v Golf GTI......Not my VR6!

Thanks in advance

Press needed for the fronts.
For the rears DO NOT overtighten the nut, hand tight only.

It is possible with a large vice, but much much easier with a press.
What method did you use?
