8v engine has now been sold so that'll fund the rest of the bits i need!

i have now also decided to de arch her and fit a cl front splitter, will smooth the rear below the tailgate, have also ordered 2 new front wings which will be sprayed along with both doors and the rear arches once they have been treated for any rust!

this is turning into a real project now and i love it :D

bits i have so far:
mk2 16v 100mm drive shafts
obd2 vr6 lump, gearbox, loom, unlocked ecu and mk2vr6 custom mount
vr6 rad
vr6 clocks
stainless exhaust manifold
mk3 16v 280mm callipers

i trial fitted my wheels today and they're perfect except the numpties sent me one in the wrong offset, so annoyed! hopefully they will send a correct one out free of charge as they were shipped over from the us and postage is a fortune =/

any feedback welcome :D

so i took the rear arches off today and the passenger side is in amazing condition with just a little bit of bubbling near the sill  the drivers side not so much, someone has done a really dodgy repair and stuffed it full of filler and it has started to rot quite badly, looked on vw heritage for a repair panel and they only want £20 so that's a bonus!

this has turned into a proper project now and i want to make her exactly as i want her and am prepared to keep her off the road for as long as that takes :D

a picture of the rear arch...

picked up the stainless 6 branch mani and decat and the mk3 16v callipers and carriers! have sent the callipers straight of to be reconditioned and painted gloss black :D

have also bought some new mintex pads for them and some 280mm g60 discs, need to get hold of some braided lines but i don't wanna buy 2 sets so i'm gonna see if goodridge will supply a set with the right front and rear lines for the set up i'm running :)

also started with some filler work and rust treatment, was quite a bit of surface rust on the front and rear of the passengers rear arch, have ground it all back on the front part and given it a coat of primer to keep it fresh for now :)

also ground back and started filling the sill where it has been pulled out after the crash on the drivers side and sorting a little surface rust under the door seal :)

and a mug shot of my two helpers :P

also picked up my new front wings at the weekend so it's all hands on deck sorting the body out now, then when i get my brakes back they will be fitted, and then my new wheels will be fitted, the lump will be dropped in and she'll be ready for a hard summer ;)
