so had another good day on the old gal!

got the dash out to mount the vr6 clocks and get ready for my mate to tackle the wiring!

clocks mounted... not too bad compared to some i've seen!

welding rust primered and rattle canned for now to keep out any rust!

i know i have sprayed straight over weld but she is gonna be resprayed in a couple of months so i'll let the bodyshop tackle all that, just wanna get her roadworthy atm!

engine bay atm, have also managed to get the 1.3 throttle cable all set up, had to cut down the pedal stop to make sure i can get maximum throttle

and how she currently sits...

also bought a set of fk highline coilovers off my mate to replace the tired and siezed units on there atm!

parts left to buy:

powerflex vr6 topmounts
braided brake lines
lambda sensor
vr6 vacuum pipe from servo
steering rack gaitor
new header and washer tanks
vr6 speedo cable

and various other hosing and hardlines, hope she'll be finished and on the road in the next 2 weekends! :)

so i'm about 90% there now and she should be running this sunday, i'm having to convert the whole car to ce2 wiring which sucks a bit but my mate is a wizard with wiring and is gonna sort it all for me! :)

had a very busy weekend, got some fk highline coilovers off my mate for £20 and a set of spacers, they're in great nick but i can't get the adjuster ring to move, had a little read up online and this seems to be the best solution!

will see what it's like tomorrow night!

got a later dash with the wiring harness and a set of j reg stalks fitted, had to cut down the ignition barrel to get them fitted but got there in the end :)

got the vr clocks fitted, much better than some jobs i've seen so i'm fairly happy

had these delivered and then set about fitting them, full front set up including steering rack :)

then i made a bracket and got my later spec washer bottle fitted

also dropped my wheels off for a set of kumhos :)

also got a couple of goodies fitted tonight, ramair pipe and my 6 gear knob!

that's where i'm at, hoping by the first weekend in october she'll be ready for the road! :D

any comments welcome!

nearly there now!

new vacuum line fitted :)

fuel lines fitted :)

also fitted clutch cylinder to slave cylinder line and brake servo reservoir to clutch cylinder pipe, but forgot to take pictures of that!

also got the carpet ripped up and new dash fitted ready for wiring! :)

i finally got the adjuster ring of the fk highlines... unfortunately i have to do it with the grinder!

then got some new adjusters fitted and copper greased them up and fitted my new mk3 bearings and powerflex vr6 topmounts :)

then i copper greased the brand new pro sport rears before fitting :)

then i got them fitted along with my keskins with the brand new kumhos!

sat well on the rear, then i hated how high the front sat so removed the helpers and wound the adjusters up a bit, then it was still too high so wound them down to 10mm from the bottom and here's how she sits now :D

have just bought a new secondary coolant pump and some 5mm spacers for the front as the tyres catch the coilovers, now i'm just waiting on wiring and then start worrying about fluids and getting her mot'd :D

would love to hear some feedback!
