from reading that.. i fancy a dsg map but just cant see it being that effective on my tdi compared to a 340+bhp car lol

Just look at the post rhyso made above, it seem like remap, dsg and TDi is a good mix :-). If your looking at getting it mapped I will try and find a tuner who writes the maps for them and get the tool updated..... Play time :-)

You'd need to remap both to see the full benefit although IMO diesels won't really need it as all their useful power is low down and not towards the top end

Launch control and faster shifts would be useful though

They remind me of the old auto layland daf buses on speed!! :-)

I've got DSG and I won't be getting a car with it again.  It's great for putting in manual and using flappy paddles on twisty A-roads but I hate it when you put your foot down a little bit in 5th then bam! you're in 3rd driving like a mad man.

Launch control is great to put a smile on your face and suprise passengers

I'm with you on the acceleration in 5th it can get annoying but I still prefer it as I do a lot of commuting.. If it was a weekend car it would be manual all day long.. Have you had yours mapped ??

Not had it mapped yet, still thinking about getting it done.  I want it done but something in the back of my mind keeps stopping me.

I'll get round to it in the next month or so though i think.

Get your DSG remapped, and ask yourself the same question

DSG is then in full manual and not the kick-down that you hate

I've heard that software isn't available for the MK6, i may be wrong about that though.
