I have only mapped the petrol ecus gti dsg ecus with revo, I keep getting TDi customers asking for dsg remaps but don't know of anyone doing them, I know there is a tool the read and write them, it would be good to get a TDi dsg mapped.
As far as I know the dsg ecu is actually inside the ecu, but not 100% as it not what I am doing yet.

Our byteshooter will remap the DSG gearboxes, the ECU for DSG 'boxes is located in the gearbox. (IMHO)

PM me for further information

Does several things from what I've read

Doesn't change up automatically in manual when you redline it
More aggressive in the normal sport mode

That sort of thing

Found this review by Hurdy

What can I say....bloody great bit of software that makes the DSG what it should have been from the factory

7,200rpm shifting ftw. (stock was 6,400rpm )

60% faster shifts up AND down the box

Smoother shifting up and down the box (didn't think this was possible)

Better "blipping" noise from the zorst

Manual mode is now a manual (but if you push it continuously it will push through the rev limiter to the next gear if you want it to) plus no accidental kickdowns.

Faster set off from a standstill

Better torque handling capability (clamping is increased on the clutchplates by increasing the oil pressure(or something like that!!), which means zero clutch slip!! )

Torque limiter relaxed in first and second gears.

60mph is now possible in second gear and 90+ in 3rd. In theory if you had enough power (and a long enough"track") the rev limit in 6th would take you to 205+mph

It now releases the full rpm power potential of the K04, so no more RR days with the box killing the power just over 6200rpm (roll on an Awesome RR day where I had 324bhp last time out)

Option of launching with up to 3,700 revs with launch control (and 4,500 for the R32 boys, which must be handy )

Tfsi dsg offers an awesome launch setting, do the TDi dsg have a launch option? I got one coming in tomorrow with a selector fault, I might have a play afterwards, might get the byteshootet updated aswell and play.

You'd need to remap both to see the full benefit although IMO diesels won't really need it as all their useful power is low down and not towards the top end

Launch control and faster shifts would be useful though
