Ok, so ill join in, I was only going to read and laugh, but here goes.. Did a 1.3 to 2.016v conversion last year, no probs, no faults, well chuffed. Went out 4 a test drive and heard a funny grinding sound.. went back home, looked underneath and saw the disk backplates all bent into the disks. I prised them out, levering against the disk with a screwdriver (which returned the pistons + pads also) reversed slowly back off driveway without pumping brakes back out, went to stop at the end, pedal went to floor and car rolled back into a house crunching freshly painted back bumper and badge panel. Novice error. Can teach myself to do a full engine conversion + associated work, but 4got to pump brakes back out!!
