got a pipercross one, along with a new unbutchered air box :D

cause apparently when drlling the airbox they thought it'd be good to drill the top too so unfiltered air was being drawn straight into the throttle body...

GENIUS!

good engineering knowledge i guess

A friend of mine took the plastic cone part out of my airbox and now at cruising speed i have a very annoying droaning noise a bit like.. warb warb warb warb... i'm sure its because of what he has done.. he threw the bits away  anyone else experienced this?

Anyone got a airbox for a g60 or golf if they are the same?? i dont like the noise

oops... i just cut the cone out in the new one i got as it looks like all it's doing is restricting the air flow... was that a stupid thing to do?  :undecided:

the cone/trumpet should pull out without breaking (so can be replaced if you prefer it), depending how you go about it!  It is there to reduce noise primarily, and will have an effect on restricting flow.

Let me know if you get a bloody annoying droaning noise when cruising.. tunes have to be turned up to cancel it out, actually gives me a headache!
