KnN or pipercross will be fine.. and lets face it they have a lifetime guarantee which standard ones dont.. even if it makes no difference i prefer them... my mk2 when finished im gona run a custom induction kit..

Ur mk2's gonna have a £10k total bill isn't it?! I'd 20vt it for the aggro and expense you're going to,that abf will prob bore you soon enough!!

^^ someone's a happy soul today aren't they... I gave my opinion sorry if it's not the same as yours.. Yer my mk2 may cost me 10k and ?? It's a second car for me and I enjoy working on it slowly..

Get a standard one and change regularly. 

Better filtration and probably higher flow than a wash and re-use one.

Especially after the K&N/Pipercross unit's  been washed a few time.

If you have a 16v airbox, you can have my k an n panel filter for a 5er and what ever postage is on top.

haha stick it on ebay, I'm after one also - you may get a tenner :rolleyes:

I tend to stick with k&n's on bikes and cars just because I'm used to giving them a clean at service time.
Get the big recharge kit and it lasts for years. Been using them for over 20 years now never had any probs.

Paper filters are good and flow well, but only when new. The flow rates quickly drop.

got a pipercross one, along with a new unbutchered air box :D

cause apparently when drlling the airbox they thought it'd be good to drill the top too so unfiltered air was being drawn straight into the throttle body...

GENIUS!  :huh:
