The G60 and Mk3 have a wider calliper hence bigger pads

they will foul the back of wheel. It's due to offset of the std RA's

I can only tell you of my troubles

F*ck me you lot are making this complicated.

Take the whole hub assembly from a 280mm equipped 4X100 car and bolt it up.

Should be fine with OEM 15" rims.

Won't need any grinding or cutting back with a lathe.

Cars you should be looking for in the scrappers are TDI SEATs, Passat3s and other bigger VAG group stuff which is still running 4X100.

This kit just bolts up, no titting about making it fit.

You will need the 22mm master cylinder to keep the pedal travel right, if you're coming from 239mm set up.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Well despite the advice, I've got myself a 5x100 280mm set up (read your post Diamond Hell after buying it lol).

The kit comes from:
Corrado 1993 VR6
and includes:
Front 280mm calipers and carriers
hoses (braided)
5x100 stud 280mm discs
+ pads

I'm using 15" BBS RA's with 10mm spacers each side (hoping spacers might help if things are tight!)

I'll take a look when it arrives and post back with my findings.

Thanks everyone

You may just need the 4X100 hubs to get that to fit with 4X100 280mm rotors.

Potentially furking expensive way to find out though!

in may case.......

had 256mm already. Got some 280mm carriers from a mk3. Kept original callipers
but needed to mod slide pins to make them fit.

bought 280mm (4x100) discs and a new set of 16v pads

My hubs are standard 4x100 16v GTI hubs.  I was planning on drilling 4x100 holes in the 5x100 Corrado 280mm disks to get them to fit

I don't think that will work as you have not got enough metal as such :undecided:

Why are you redrilling discs? Buy some 4x100 280mm discs and fit them to your 16v hubs. Over these fit your calipers. How did this get to 3 pages?

you lot should think outside the box a littel bit more

there is a 280mm 4x100 disk that is the correct offset to work with mk3 golf / corrado  brake caliper and carriers,  but it's not vw
all the VW's have gone bar 1.
