None of the last 3 golfs ive had with these mods have ever missed a beat  expensive but worth it

Your car is a relatively old girl, so why don't you just opt for Bluefin as the old girl does not require open heart surgery?
You know it makes common sense as you can de-map and re-map her (assuming the car is female) at will and it's relatively cheap at £450.

Yeah, my initial thoughts before buying the car was that I'd go down the Bluefin route, I still havent ruled it out.  I like the idea of the original map being stored and the ease of removing etc, however REVO now offer this type of thing with some added extras.

Is this dependant on the old ECU scrambling issue though, or do you pull the ECU and replace the chip?
