After trying coils they have now ordered injectors, will keep you posted

This all sounds like "The computer says we should change xxxx" rather than any kind of proper fault finding.

I had exactly the same feeling!
“It will be £69+VAT for fault scanning and then £60/h for further investigation…”
Golf GTI VI DSG - died on the road, resurrected, came back as zombi, sold
R - rising blue, 5-door, DSG, ACC, something something...

Could they not just test the injectors? Rather than order them?

no. they are thick.

I had to take my car to pro tuners and then relay the info back to the dealership... despite them brushing off the suggestions... eventually they gave the suggestion a try.... hey presto!! the was the same as the tuners suggested.

Not that it bothers me that they wasted lots of time/effort/money on finding the solution.... just that it took my time also

That is the entire problem with most people these days, they are fully aware that they are spending lots of their own time (which you are normally paying for) on fixing a problem or sorting somthing for you (aka doing there job) but these people are never aware that they are wasting your time too.
