Can you also choose colour of heater panel. I assume it's blue also?

I actually ordered a heater dial panel from these guys a little while back and am awaiting delivery.  I wish I'd known about this thread before hand!

as far as the legality goes, I've got cars through MOT's that have only shown mph with no issues.  I also spoke to a good friend who is a traffic Officer and he said that as far as he's aware they can't do anything about it even if it was illegal as there are no powers from their point of view. 

There is no law against it, only rules apparently.

Wrong  if the Motor Vehicles (Con & Use) Regs, 1986 say you need both then it is illegal, simples

A law and a regulation are two seperate things.  What my friend said is that they cannot prosecute the driver of a car that only has mph, not both.  All they can do is issue a VDRS which means you have to get it stamped by an MOT garage to say it's all in order, they can then prosecute you if you fail to do this.  As I know of MOT places that have passed cars with only mph in the past it would be fine.

Got reply from them. Looks like they will put a small km/h on the dials.

We can either make it with small subsidiary km/h marks or without it.
Anyway, we are not going to start the project unless you will collect these people, photos and make advance payment.
