Been interested in getting some backlit dials from this company for a while.

http://moman.pl/en/index.php?a=opis&k=26&id=400

They make some nice backlit dial in different styles and colours but not in MPH.

Some examples.

Design 2

Design 1

There are 6 different designs to choose from but they will need 15 people to be able to start making the dials in MPH

Please note: To get the LCD display to be a different colour you will either need a coloured filter change or if you have later clocks, it will mean changing the LED's (Means a complete strip down and resoldering of the LEDs on the circuit board).
They will also add km/h onto the dial for legality.

They said that they need one person to organise the deal and people can choose dials in 3 designs only and 4 colours as shown below.

The 3 most common will be the best to go with but they'll need to have high quality pictures sent and  info on speedo and rev ranges.

So I will need some high quality picture of the clock in daylight to ensure a perfect match.

The price will include an inverter and will work out around £65 posted to the door. They also make a heater panel that lights those up properly so you can do without the leds. That would work out £10 extra. To get the heater panel to light red you will need to paint the back of the panel with red Flouro paint £8.

Heater Panel

Flourescent paint The flouro paint is also used for the needles or you could try and go mk4 style.

Look at the site see what you think. There's no discount on prices shown in euros because it is a special order, but you save on postage and they'll only post to one address.

Add your name to the list as follows. Name, Engine type, Design, colour, Rev range, Speedo range, Heater panel(Y/N), Flouro paint(Y/N colour)

They look good, but £65 is a bit steep for dials imo :undecided:

Do you know how much work is involved in fitting them?

I really like this actually but i wouldn't fit ones with KM/H instead of MPH which obviously means they'll need a fair bit of interrest to be made and like mentioned, they're not particularly budget friendly are they. Still cool though.

If you read the post it says they will make them in mph. That's the point of the GB. You can't get these anywhere otherwise. The clocks need to come apart. Needles off. New dials fitted and wired in.

It all depends on what you consider worth paying for they're exclusive. As no One else will have them in there car. Plus if you've spent ££££ on engine conversions, wheels etc. It's not that expensive considering only 15 people will initially have them in the country.

just curious as to the actual wiring. Easy or awkward soldering?

+1 I could see it quite easily being a sod of a job.
