Called into the stealers today, they had a nice black mk6 gti ex demo car for sale but unfortunately it was a manual and i need the dsg box  :laugh:
Anyway the salesman's calling me back tuesday with a price for my car, i'll let you know how i get on and if i can do a deal i'm happy with.

You'll love a manual. Call me old fashioned, but it connects you to the car much more IMO.

Another quick question, i know that discounts on new car orders are pretty thin on the ground but is it a but unrealistic to maybe get an option such as the RCD 510 stereo thrown in? or are dealers offering 0 off just because they can still sell the cars?

i'd be v surprised if they would do that especially if they have already discounted heavily (8-9%) of list on car/with options, worth a punt and a haggle and much respect if u get that chucked in!

Good news.... Just ordered the following

Mk6 GTI in black
DSG trans
18" monza's
RCD 510 stereo
standard cloth seats because there better than the half leather seats  :laugh:

Probably best place for my first post and to introduce myself...I ordered a gti in early October ang got £2k knocked off list, how does this compare to the car youve just signed up to? Have also just sold my previous car for £1500 more than they offered in p/x so quite pleased  :smiley:  Now the long wait!
