I know nothing about this cornering module, sorry

The washer covers stay on, basically the bumper is held in place by 20 (ish) screws, once these are removed the bumper comes off very easily, you need two people though as you need to pull the bumper ends away from the car then drop it forward, it's very easy

I laid mine on the floor with carpet underneath to protect it

Thanks Doc, that Pic you mentioned of the rear of the light would be good, I think I am just going to copy your installation.

So in a Golf State and maybe some regular Golfs the Xenon Led retrofit  wont  work without major surgery:

Here is the connector  for the regular xenon:

HEre is the one for Xenon LEds

as you can see the pins are different, they can be pulgged and they  will work no dash light or problems but the LEDS WONT work.

The led version is a lot more complicated.

Also  just  for refecence pins 10 and 7 give 12 V to the parking lights but they wont fire up the leds.

If anyone has the  led assignments for the connectors  it will be greatly appreciated.

Still working on a "fix" for older version ...

Are we 100% sure the variant is wired different to the hatch?
iirc if you put LED bulbs in the sidelights of mk5s they don't light up either, unless you get the ones that have similar resistance to bulbs as the ECU cuts the power to them.
SteveP said his old central electric ecu would not light the xenonsLEDs and its why he had to buy a new one and recode it. So im wondering is it a different voltage/signal sent down the wire rather than different wiring.

Well I used the adaptation  on VCDS and ran all the test, when I get  to DRL 1 2 3 4 they LIGHT UP !!! perfectly  but unfortunately I have been trying to code with the long  code and they wont come on at all no matter what I do at bit 18 or 24 (I have followed some other who have done it, the only thing I get is a CEl and a rear reverse light on  (left side) that wont go off at all!!!

I am  trying to  figure out  where the cables go  because I bet the led controller muust recieve 12 V to  work.....Ill try to find it
If someone here has more info It willbe greatly appreciated.

Cheers M8´s

Does anyone know what the part numbers are for the two self levelling sensors on the Golf?

Can someone with daytime running lights on regular headlights tell me what pins on the connector handle the 12V voltage  for the DRL bulb?
I still cant figure how to wire my led xenons...everything  works perfect except the Leds.
Maybe I need a regular DRL light switch !

I'd wire them into the fusebox so that when the engines running they are on full time while you work out a solution
