Speaking of yellow...I think there should be a return to yellow fog lights from the 70's, and France!! They work! Bright white doesn't, and more to the point I DON'T HAVE ANY

I tried to code my Xenon led lights for my Golf State (variant), but  they did not work, no  matter how I coded them the  leds wont come on, so I checked them compared to regular Xenon lights and the connector in the harness is different.   Golfs  are  wired the same but the Golf State has a different harness, and thus cables that  go into the housing.
Since I have the tools Ill find out the  Voltages and pins that need to be changed  in order to make them  work, Ill put a DIY in case someone  want to change theirs to led versions and avoid getting errors on the vcds and a non  working leds.

(even the kufatec guys state that  the adapter they sell are not compatible  with GS ...  ;-(

Will be interesting to see how they went about the change from sidelights to LEDs with the lights. If they simply wired in LEDs or did a circuit to make it look like a bulb to the ecu.

With the amount of LEDs in there and the intensity of them you'd think they'd easily draw 5 watts

The LEDs are connected to a control board side the lights that takes the normal feed from the side connections. IIRC Untill you code it to say it has separate DRL's it throws a bulb out warning. I will double check on mine tomorrow.

Would be interesting to find out how different the electrical system sees them. IIRC i remember reading they don't light if not coded this makes me think they are simply LEDs wired in as you have to tell the software its LEDs or it cuts the voltage/current to them.
