Still split between LED Xenon and Standard .

I will have to order a new BCM either way unless I do your high beam shutter mod.
What did you do to get the high beam to work ?

If I buy the new BCM I might as well go for the LED Xenons.
I have ordered the cornering modules of eBay, not sure if they are the right ones but they can be returned if not.
I thought I might as well fit the module as it is under the light and would mean bumper off again if I decided to later.

I will leave the self levelling until later on.

Looks like I am in for a bit of a wait for the bulb adaptors as Steve has found out.

Super simple and reversible, on the rear of the main beam unit there is a 2 wire connector going into a solenoid, simply unplug it and connect one wire to earth, the other to your original main beam, job done.

I have a photo of the rear of the main beam somewhere that I'll dig out

FYI the main beams won't normally work unless the cornering module is fitted and the BCM as they are controlled via the cornering module.

Don't be too put off about removing the bumper as it's really easy, less than 10 mins on the second go I think, I just left carpet below it to save removing the headlamp washers etc.

Didn't know about the bulb adapters - made me scratch my head at first

Thanks Doc, good info there

The part number for the cornering module is 7L6941329B, the ones I have ordered don't have the B so may not work.
The German eBay seller said they would.

Do you have to take the headlight washer covers off before removing the bumper or are the washers attached to the bumper?

Does anyone know where the part number 5M0907357C, cornering unit,  goes in the car?
Do you need a loom to attach it or does it connect to the headlight unit?

**edit**

Just found where it should go, passenger side panel.

I think that rules out getting the cornering to work unless someone has the pinouts of the loom required to connect it.

I know nothing about this cornering module, sorry

The washer covers stay on, basically the bumper is held in place by 20 (ish) screws, once these are removed the bumper comes off very easily, you need two people though as you need to pull the bumper ends away from the car then drop it forward, it's very easy

I laid mine on the floor with carpet underneath to protect it
