Wheel Bearing.

Bloody wheel bearings gone, front right one. :cry:

Ordered parts today from AVS, so guess what i am hopefully doing tomorrow night, gutted no COD 4 :cry:

rubbling noise, will try and get pics but you do need a press to get them out i think

no press needed, just a large socket 30ish mm and a large hammer, then use a vice to press them in

Anything else other than a vice? i need to do my nearside rear. dont know if its the same principle?

I would suggest getting someone to press the bearing. You won't remove the old one with a socket and hammer, unless you are lucky.
You may be able to fit the new one with a vice, but its alot easier with a press.
Also if the mk4 is anything like previous models, you will need a knife edge puller to remove the bearing race from the hub.
Not really a job for a novice.
