ok, Rolfe and av1w (and others if you suggested the 3 to 5 door change)

I'll ask the question of the dealer  -  how will a change from 3 to 5 dr affect my BW (haven't got one yet)?

I would add the side rear airbags.

That leaves the matter of the colour.....I chose the carb grey with the 3 dr  -  is the colour ok with the 5 dr? Could chage to red  -  claws back some of the extra spend but does choosing a non-met/pearl paint affect resale value or are the whites and reds ok in the case of the Golf? No disrespect but I like the red on the 3 dr but not sure with the 5 dr  -  good to have a colour which brings out the red 'stripes' on the front grill  -  get a bit lost on a red car.

....and bear in mind, you guys...I'm only responding to the huge amount of comments telling me that I should be going the 5 dr route!

James, I would just be happy with what you have if its locked. I wanted to add all sorts to mine but because of the dealer not been helpful and unable to add up correctly! I sort of missed out.

If you do change Red is a popular colour for the GTI and IMHO is really nice on the mk6, if i was ordering again red would be my choice and im not a red person or a red car guy but it works so well on the mk6, i think.

I'll tell you the extent of his hopelessness: when I asked him the colour of the XC90, he has avoided giving me an answer. Therefore, he does not know Volvo colours because he has not ordered the XC90!

We know it, the dealer knows it, VW know it, Mrs Gould knows it, God knows it, but James thinks he does not know it.
Maybe we should all chip-in and take the car off the dealer, sell it and divide the profit.
Or maybe we can use the proceeds and bail him out!

I don't remember you asking me about the XC90 colour - wanted Inscription Pearl White but I'm being told can't have it with the XC90 Active so will have Saville Grey - prob is that my finance guy is telling me that his Volvo dealer has no more XC90s available on the deal I want - hoping he can get one.
