You're off again BUT I think this time your change is a necessity.  Don't you have 3 children? what a nightmare opening front door, moving seat getting kids in, moving seat again, not too mention the poor wee souls will feel like being shut in a cave.  It is very dark in the back of the mk6.

The airbags are designed for passengers using the back seats be they children or adults and will be constructed for safety.  I don't believe your children will lose their heads!!

And this rubbish people are spouting about the 3 door looking sportier it doesn't look any different to the 5 door just a bigger hunk of metal.

Go for the 5 door you will be loads happier as will your kiddies.

The 3-door looks sportier and a tad better. The majority will think so. That's why the VW marketing has the 3-door GTI as the cover. 5-door is a lot more practical then the 3-door. I ordered the 5-door due to it being the sensible choice, but I changed to 3-door as I do not need 5-door and I like the look of the 3-door. My GF also prefers the 3-door so it was easy. I could live with a 3-door and a possible future kid the next 5-7 years.

It's your car James. Get what you want. Seems you like the look of the 3-door but want the practicality of the 5-door. You'll just have choose which is more important for yourself. Looks or practicality? Personally I would have gotten the 5-door if I had 3 children.

I couldn't give too hoots what you believe, Kev, and it says an awful lot about you that you'd think anyone has the time or the inclination to pretend they're buying a Golf when they aren't  -  some sad sorts might pretend to be buying a Ferrari on a Ferrari forum or a Lambo on a similar site but, with all due respect to the Golf and the owners/prospective owners, it's only a Golf  -  hardly the stuff of lottery winning dreams.
