Yeah, I even had it on my list of things to check so either I completely missed it or it was there when I took delivery of the car and it's since fallen off!

Anyhow, the dealer's replacing it under warrenty in a couple of weeks when it goes in to have the passenger seat looked at for an annoying squeak

I would stick some duck tape or something over the hole for now if it was me, last thing you want is all this road salt/mess going near the foglight connections and causing problems later in life.

With all these issues is it not worth sticking with the mk5?

The mk5 , has its own issues aswell , 12.000 miles on mine , cam belt, water pump, tensioner's , pullys all needed replacing, then the coil packs, alarm system kept goin off, then the dreaded rattles!! All done under warrenty thanks FOOKs . At the end of the day they are cars and they go wrong, thats why i dont keep then long 2yrs max , then get a new one therefor I allways have a warrenty to fall back on. Not in into modding value my warrenty to much.

No doubt the mk6 will have its own problems too, but the car is still a great car to own & drive , and will always have one any day over the other crap that's out there. Enjoy Steve

Have you checked whether your GTD has XDS?

A couple of you have mentioned that the headlamp washers are annoying, what is it about these that you don't like? [I'm wondering what to expect]

1. They come on once when you only want to spray your window washer jets.
2. They will give your car a full wash.

Somebody posted "a trick" to get around that..

It has something to do with activating the window-washers ever so slightly and once in operation give it a firm sqirm in order to get the fluids
(sounds rather sensual ) ...this way the headlight-washers stay unactivated....

Can anyone else confirm this...

Man, you have got sex on the brain!
First, you talk about 'foreplay' under the 'Left footrest' thread and now you are suggesting something 'sensual' regarding fluids!
