4.5 k and all spot on so far.

Just wish I could switch off those annoying headlamp washers.

There is a little trick to them (well there is on the Mk5 - probably the same system).  They go off every 5th pull of the washers starting with the very first time.  Just pull the stalk really quickly enough for the wipers to activate but not the washers, then pull the second time for a good wash and the headlight washers wont go off because the computer logs the first and doesnt fire them on the second.

Nearly 11,000 miles and (almost) not a peep wrong. Stunning, stunning car.

The reason I say almost is the NS fog light bulb access covers keep falling off so it's going in next week for a new liner.

Just hit 6000 miles. Not put a foot wrong. And mine must have been one of the very earliest ones too.

So very very happy methinks

Already tried this, it works on the mk 5 but not the mk6. The headlamp jets seem to operate even if you do a really quick flick on the lever. Not a fault I suppose just a minor annoyance - guess it adds to the cars personality.

3000 miles and no faults at all.

MPG is improving as well, managed 41.7mpg on a 300 mile round trip and that was just driving as normal i.e. just keeping up with the general traffic flow.

Might be a bit quicker as well.

Very, very pleased with it.
Mk6 GTi - returned to leasing company after 3 great years and replaced with :

Mk5 GTi - Edition 30 - Revo 1 and some tweaks - 310 bhp. Its a better car than the Mk6  - Now sold and replaced with :

Mk6 R - Rising Blue 5 Door. Won't be standard 270bhp for long

Family Car : Mercedes ML420 with 360 bhp
Looking at Porsche Macan as replacement

My friendly dealer simply removed fuse no. 36 (20A) and the headlamp washer system is now disabled. If I ever decide i can't live without them I'll just replace the fuse. This fuse doesn't affect anything else and is now in the glove box just in case I ever feel the urge to waste gallons of screenwash.

I had a rattle in the dash board passenger side.
Dealer sorted it - it turned out to be a loose clutch cable????
Alarm goes off for no reason
but otherwise fantatsic!
