I set the bar into the crossmember a little as thought this would give more strength;

Right, moved the shell out of the workshop and have been tidying up ready to bring the next one in to strip

Spun it round;

Then used manpower and a tractor to move it to it's new home;

More this weekend I hope!

Right, not the best day unfortunately, but nevermind. Shifted the car into the workshop and thought I'd roll the arches to start with, before stripping it down.

In the now tidy (but not for long I expect) workshop; (A little reminiscent of December!)

Up in the air;

Arch roller in position after cleaning up the inner arch around the lip;

And the result ... not great

Offside not too bad;

Nearside pretty bad!

Going to skim some filler over it to sort it I think. If there is a next time I'm going to get a decent bodyshop to do it and consider it money well spent. After that great sales pitch the arch roller is now for sale so if you think you have the skills get in touch - it's an eastwood in good condition, £170.

Anyway, started stripping down the front end;

And finally had a little go at the engine bay to see how it would come up and it's looking promising;

The biggest positive is that I've had a proper look underneath now and it's really solid

Right got a bit done tonight, though just taking engine and subframe out.

Engine out;

Subframe out - full powersteering set up for sale if anyones interested;

Lots of work to go;

Todays efforts have mostly been just stripping the interior. Lots of wiring to be sorted as there is a bodged in alarm, but hopefully get the rest of the interior out along with the lower dash tomorrow which will make access a little easier.

Bit of rust on the tailgate;

Proper grubby having been sat outside for 18months;

Some rust on top of the sill that will need chopping out, same both sides;

Right, not updated in a while. Have been doing a bit, but havn't got any totally up to date pics so will get some tomorrow. Interior is stripped, but been mostly trying to clean up the inner arches and engine bay ... very very boring!! You don't realise how much work goes into cleaning and smoothing 'bays until you have a go yourself.

Sorted the wiring and pulled out the old crappy alarm system;

Grubby engine bay, though have started on the turrets here;

Found a bit more rust

I'm crap at keeping up with build threads...

Few more pics, though still not up to date - will try and remember to take the camera into the workshop tomorrow.

Wings and bonnet off;

Engine bay getting a little cleaner;

Interior all out and a banded steel offered up on the rear - gonna need some arch work before paint!

Right, got a bit more done. Car is pretty much stripped completely now; going to do the bits of welding, clean up the underside then get it down the paint shop
