Private Insurance daftness is why i also always had a traders policy at the same time for the past decade or so upto a year ago. I had hoped they had come up with some solution by now.

I have two cars on separate policies.

I cannot put both cars on a multicar policy as for certain they will not insure my other car because of the long list of factory extras, and they are a little wary of the couple of extras i have on the Golf TDI ffs!

I managed to get about 50% NCB awarded when i took out the second policy (based on 17years NCB on first policy), which soon built up to the current 5+years.

Be vary careful with any insurance policy - you must declare everything on the invoice (and some companies will count extras as modifications), and even then they may not replace the car like for like; only offering a standrd UK spec car.  with some companies,  if you write off a GTI with 6k of extras you only get back the std GTI even if you declared the extras and paid a higher premium as a result !!!!!

Got the 7 day free VW insurance for now.

All i have to do is try and find someone who will insure both cars in the next week or so.

I hear what your saying about options etc, My car has very few. but im also looking at GAP back to invoice.

The bank has just robbed me of £30 to pay the dealer invoice! 


So my still to do list includes.
1)Insurance for both cars, 2)GAP, 3)Service pack, and a few other things.

I've also had a few comments saying I've got a boy racer car and being in my 30's am too old for it.. reckon they're just envious.. Anyhow it'd be a boring world if we all had the same car huh ?

Sad to say no As i took a half day yesterday to go pay for it, sort vw 1 week free insurance etc. I could only get a half a day on Friday watch it be the wrong half  At least someones in the house all Friday for arrival if i do miss it. Im having it delivered as getting time off this time of year is not easy.
