spray some WD (Not bucket loads) on belts while running if the noise goes then its just belt squeel, if it dont you need to have a look.

noise is definately coming from the pas pump area, how hard a job is it to replace the pump as my steering is very heavy..

with rferance to changnig the pas pump, is it a case of draining the fluid and bolting on/off pump?
