cambelt squeak

can anything be done about a noisey cambelt?the belt is only a few months old so its not a worn belt  :undecided:

Was the tensioner done as well?
Have you checked the belt tension?

tensioner was done aswell, has been silent since it was done has just decided to start being noisey  :angry:

Re-check the belt tension.
+1. You might find it has "loosened" up since it was fitted.

Cambelts dont normally squeek. The noises you are hearing are likely to be your pulley drivebelts.

It will only squeak if you get oil or fluid on it. Shouldn't be possible if the covers are fitted properly.

Since its a toothed belt it would have to be really loose to squeal, but then again you havent said what the noise is like :huh:
