They are the GTI ones, and the R ones are darker.

I agree in some ways that it makes the R unique, but think you may well sell them on an aniversary GTi model.

Probably - but an aniversary model won't be due until 2011... so at least they'll be unique (apart from retrofits) on the R for a year and a bit.

I think the GTI ones are fine.

So when we buying ?

GTI mk6, 3dr Manual (Yes Manual! If I wanted a Taxi I'd hail one, not spend £1500 on one), Candy White, Full Leather, Xenons, ACC, 18", RCD510 + Dynaudio, DAB Radio, Winter Pack, Luxury Pack, Fiscon Bluetooth Plus, Golf R LED's.

I prefer the R ones myself.

This is the module that re-codes the system from Kufatec http://www.kufatec.de/shop/product_info.php/info/p1603_Diagnostic-Interface-LED-rear-lights-VW-Golf-6-VI.html

I'd be keen to see someone in the UK do the full swap over with no problems, before I'm in. Sorry

I'm not fussed to be honest, you got a pic of the R ones side by side with the GTI ones ?

I might invest in VCDS rather than that module.

From the product description it sounds like you plug it into the OBD port and the car's coding is updated?  You would then assume the module would be unplugged?  If that's true surely the module could then be sold onto the next person doing the same mod.

That sounds like a plan!
